Sundays at 5pm - dinner included
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith. Each session looks at a different question and is designed to create conversation. There's no pressure, no follow-up and no charge; it's just an open, informal, and honest space to explore and discuss life's big questions together.
The Alpha Film Series allows anyone to explore life, faith and God in a friendly, open and informal environment. Wherever you are on the spectrum of faith, you are welcome to join. Each Alpha evening has an individual theme. We will walk through the crucial questions of the Christian faith with others and you will have a place to ask the questions you've always wanted to ask.
• Is There More to Life Than This?
• Who is Jesus?
• How Can I Have Faith?
• Why and How Do I Pray?
• Why and How Should I Read the Bible?
• How Does God Guide Us?
• Who is the Holy Spirit?
• What Does the Holy Spirit Do?
• How Can I Make the Most of the Rest of My Life?
• How Can I Resist Evil?
• Why and How Should I Tell Others?
• What About the Church?
Just come as you are. It's that simple.
Sundays at 5pm, starting January 20 to April 7 (Excluding March 17th & 24th)
We gather in the lounge at West Vancouver United Church. After we've shared a delicious dinner together, we will meet in small groups to discuss the big questions so many of us are asking. Alpha features inspiring stories and interviews from all around the world, as well as visual illustrations.
No charge! At WVUC, we have seen the impact Alpha has on people's lives, and we are happy to create a space that is accessible and welcoming to all.
Child care available.
